10th April on Queens Gardens Warrington

#DIY Rainbow Day originated in Sydney to celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Mardi Gras Festival. It all began when a street crossing was decorated in rainbow chalk for the day. This one act kick started LGBT visibility and rainbows were drawn on pavements all around the world!

It has been embraced worldwide to celebrate and bring awareness to the LGBT community.

After the success of our last #DIYrainbow we came back bigger and better this year! The new rainbow was drawn in the arches of Queens Gardens Warrington on the 10th of April.

The rainbow was 3 times the size of last years and really made an impact! We had a glorious sunny day and the turnout was great, people passing stopped to get involved and make their mark!

We would like to give a big thank you to Bold Street Methodist Church for letting us use their lovely cafe to finish the fantastic day off with a cup of tea! We would also like to thank Warrington Police for their support and guidance.
